Plant baby check-in
Our first Sweet Season seed babies have sprouted. Thousands of them, to be exact. 🌱
We are proud plant parents and we had to take an awkward family photo to share with all of you.

Pictured above is a tray of our onion starts. For most veggie farmers, these are the first seeds they sow each year in the greenhouse. We seed them in February, transplant them in April, and harvest them in August.
So much weeding, watering, and love go into them in the meantime! That’s why we can’t wait to share the harvest of our onions and so many other veggies with you throughout the season. 🤩
Other happenings at the farm
- We have also seeded lettuce and beets, both of which are much quicker than onions! We will seed carrots this weekend.
- Our market share CSA was featured in the Driftless Journal. Click to check out one of our favorite photos of Ethan on the farm. 🤠
- This week, 6 of Barb’s lambs were born! Barb is our lovely incubator host and owner of Canoe Creek Produce.

On the horizon
As the season ramps up, we will start sending emails 1-2 times per week again. Please sign up here if you haven’t already. And be sure to open them when you see them—that way they won’t end up in your spam folder!
